Barry Segal, along with his wife Batya, are founders of Vision for Israel, a non-profit charitable organization located in the heart of Israel providing humanitarian aid, disaster relief, education and community support for over 30 years to help rebuild the nation, both physically and spiritually. In addition, they are internationally recognized worship artists, well known for their Israeli-Hebraic style of music.
Barry is recognized as an international Bible teacher, having been mentored by Dr. Derek Prince, going all over the world to share insights to the Jewish roots of the faith, the Scriptures and prophecy.
Barry is managing editor of the VFI News, a trusted resource for tens of thousands of people gaining information on current events in Israel and the Middle East. In addition, he is co-host of the news magazine online program Prophetic Convergence.
Barry is also host and TV producer of a weekly tourism television program. Roots and Reflections is a fascinating view of life in Israel, its past and present, and with a glimpse into the future. It reveals a vibrant, exciting country and covers historical, biblical, and archaeological topics, music, food and culture. Israel is presented to the viewer in a vivid and joyful manner with strong expertise.
Barry grew up in the USA and encountered Yeshua the Messiah when he was a young musician, at 17 years old, living a colorful lifestyle in Detroit and Cleveland. He then focused on praise and worship music and led a fellowship while also pursuing a career in professional radio and TV production. Barry felt called to make aliyah, going to live in Israel in 1981. His life’s journey is “From Motown to Mt. Zion”. Shortly afterwards, in Jerusalem, he met and later married Batya, an Israeli singer and songwriter. Together they founded the organization called Vision for Israel which has provided aid and assistance to over two million Israelis, Jews, Arabs, minority groups, refugees, and beyond the borders of Israel.
